Our final RV Resting Stop is: WhiteHall, New York.  

This is Champs, an RV Park in our RV Membership Club so we spent 10 days here to rest, inventory, and plan for our return to Sacramento.  It is quiet here and everything is closing for the Winter 2017.

Whitehall is the town that remains a pulse and has credited to its history: the Birthplace of the Navy.

The Adirondack Park was created in 1892 by the state of New York.  It is the largest publicly protected area of tranquility in the United States.  Designated a National Historic Landmark:  

6 million acres as a majestic cathedral.

  Step into a bit of the experience; however, this is a place:

"Ya just had to be there" !

Lake Placid, New York is the site of the 1932 and 1980 Olympics, as well as the annual Lake Placid IRONMAN Triathion.  

 







The Olympic Torch, stored away for another time.

This peaceful Adirondack town is best known for the 
"Miracle on Ice".  
Men's ice hockey tournament played between the hosting U.S. and the defending gold medalists, the Soviet Union - 1980.

There are 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks and bobsledding at the Olympic Complex.

Olympic Ski Jump Complex remains in use for Olympic Training

This green space is located in the same area as Lake Placid High School.  It was built outdoors as a skating rink for the Winter Olympics in 1932.

October 2017: We love this most beautiful place in the Adirondacks! 
It is time to return to New York to see the family at the farm.
