After a brief stop at Sara's Campground on Lake Erie at Presque Isle State Park and a stop at Graycliff, perched on a cliff high above Lake Erie on the outskirts of Buffalo.  One of the most ambitious estates Frank Lloyd Wright ever designed is called "The Jewel on the Lake".

Known for its pavilion-like center of transparent glass.

We drove on to one of our favorite State Parks in America: Letchworth State Park in New York.

The State Park is a 14,427-acre park located in the western part of the State of New York.

CCC built cabins where they lived while they worked for years on the State Park.
Along our bike ride, we saw a picnic area created when the CCC worked at the State Park.
This concrete and rock table remains since the 30's.
CCC Legacy has preserved the efforts of the challenges faced by the CCC 90 years ago.   The pathways, exhibits, and self-guided tours bring the accomplishments of the CCC throughout the park.

Mr. Letchworth, 1910 was an American businessman who donated 1,000 acres of his estate to the State of New York known as Letchworth State Park.  He retired from the saddlery and "malleable iron' business and devoted himself to a lifetime of charitable works.

The Genesee River and the three large waterfalls between cliffs as high as 600 feet are surrounded by lush forest.  The "Grand Canyon" of the East.

Rose Elizabeth is 6 weeks old with mommy Erin, Grandpa John, and Grandma Barbara.

We rode our bikes roughly 17 miles following the course of the Genesee River as it flows north through a deep gorge and over several large waterfalls.

One of the most scenic and magnificent areas in the eastern U.S.
Currently, the Glenn Iris Inn was Letchworth's home.

One of three large waterfalls along the Genesee River.

Rose Elizabeth visits Grandma Elizabeth Mae at 6 weeks.

Off to the Family Farm in Galway, New York!  250 miles to go.
We say goodbye to memorable Letchworth State Park!
