We are heading out on Interstate 70 from Parker, Colorado for the final home stretch.
Colorado River enters the Grand Valley, where its waters are used to irrigate over 40,000 acres of ag land. It passes Grand Junction, the largest town of upper Colorado, joined by the Gunnison River, its largest tributary within Colorado.
The first stop is Grand Junction, Colorado at Starvin' Marvin's Truck Stop. Late-night dump station at James Robb Colorado River State Park.
Salt Lake City, Salt Lake,
Next stop onto Interstate 80 at the Nevada State line at Wendover. Overnight at Flying J
Encounter of the highway. Truck Haulers are very busy. This one carries rubber converter belts for the mining industry.
An overnight in Nevada in the town of Fernley. Flying J overnight
Elizabeth Rose is 5 months old and we are so happy to see her. After about 8,000 towing miles (Sacramento to Lebec, ME - the furthest east point of the U.S. and return through the Appalachians, South through Memphis, then MO, and Colorado.)
From Fernley, Nevada we arrive in Sacramento. Moved into Elks Lodge, Rancho Cordova. Visited Jason and Erin and Rose and I went for a walk in the neighborhood in her stroller. She loves to look up at the sky through the leaves and tree branches.
