From Sequim, WA we proceed in an easterly direction of the Olympic Peninsula where we reach the center of the agriculture area at Chimacum, WA. We have chosen to recluse at the Escapees Evergreen Coho SKP RV Park.
A nice surprise to us is Jim and Linda Drinkard arriving; Rob and Sandy Connelly came for a visit too!
We began our RV travel tours in 2016 at an SKP RV Park in San Diego. This is now the second park we've stayed in (2019). Available exclusively to Escapees members; managed and maintained by individual members of the op-ops. Escapees members may purchase an SKP Co-Op membership, when available which entitles the use of a specified lot until sold back to the cooperative.

WE set out to discover Poulsbo, 10,000
the population on Liberty Bay with two city marinas and a yacht club. Immediately what came to notice is the boat of our dreams: Cutwater! This boat is designed and built to cruise and explore. Trailerable models are available. This is ideal for Puget Sound Adventure Boating.
July, August, September are the warmest months for Puget Sound Boating. Poulsbo nickname if Viking City, Little Norway. It is tiny with a fine water view. Many come to experience a day in its shops and marinas and parks.

Met up with Sacramento friends: Rob and Sandy Connelly. They are loving the SKP RV Park and signed for the entrance list which can take a year for an offering to come up.
Susan and Sandy. Met up with Bruce and Susan Moneymaker. They live in Lacey, WA near Olympia, WA and have purchased a boat they moor at a nearby yacht club.

We say hello to Rob and Sandy as they are making their way thru Oregon and Olympic Peninsula. What a great time this is to have our friends while we are on our 2019 Travel Tour!!!
Rob, Sandy, Tim, and Linda to spectate the American Sprint Boat Racing at the Extreme Sports Park in Port Angeles. The Boat Races were crazy high-speed action and crash hitting the shoreline!
The track is designed to take these jet boats to speeds up to 90mph, pulling 70s around each turn in 3 feet of water. A pre-determined racing path is created and racers/navigators must follow the corrct sequence through the course.
It was a fun day at the races!

Recommended restaurant serving blue-plate specials. The Chimacum Cafe, where all the news and best pies in town are to be had. The waitress explained the progressive ag area with many small locally owned farmstands. Currently, WA State University has acres reserved as incubator farms with the vision of educational and trade hub offering affordable, clustered local housing and a workspace for ag and horticultural science students to develop, grow, and master their crafts.

We drove to the West side of Liberty Bay for the quiet side: Keyport.
It is rustic and a diamond in the rough.
Port Ludlow
North of Poulsbo is Port Ludlow with a population of 2,600 and a planned, growing community located on the marine inlet. It attracts more affluent residents, retired buying a vacation home or needing a convenient commute to the business centers of this west side of Puget Sound. It has received high ranks for location and marina facilities as a convenient and popular port for leisure craft between Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands.
