From Orville and Wilbur Wright's Bicycle Shop in Dayton Ohio, we headed north of town to the:
Official National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The museum was surprisingly captivating to me.  It is huge and divided into galleries that cover broad trends in military aviation.  Exhibits are detailed into specific historical periods.

The aircrafts are displayed in historical context.

The grounds are very large.  It is delightful: Here on the grounds of the museum.
The Spring is celebrated with
 "Kites for Family Day".

One of the world's largest collections with more than 360 aircraft.

AT the U.S. Air Force Museum, of course, is the
Wright brothers artifact:  bike.  They conducted some of their early experiments at nearby Huffman Prairie.

This plane is much like the fuel plane that Michael G. navigated while serving his country in the Air Force.

The Presidential Gallery housed several President’s airplanes including those used by Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.    Air Force One in silver and blue and we were thrilled to go inside.

Other planes:

Sopwith Camel: FAMOUS BRITISH FIGHTER AEROPLANE WWI.
Snoopy used his doghouse as his "Sopwith Camel" fighter plane.
