President Obama sought out this ice creamy; located on a side street in the historic town of Bar Harbor, Maine.  Excellent!

Much to learn for the Wonderer and the Wanderer.

Fantastic opportunity to look into granite formed from magma chamber as minerals cooled.



Carriage Roads


 BIKE RIDE on Rockefeller's Carriage Bridges: appear natural.  Miles of carriage roads given to future generations.  "Friends of Acadia" to preserve carriage roads and hiking trails and LLBean donates toward propane bus es to bring folks into the natural beauty at Acadia.  Groups of volunteers maintain the trails for is all.  That is the spirit of Acadia.


Jordon Pond on the Loop Road.  All kinds of play here.  Swimming and programs for young people that learn about the habitat of the macroinvertebrates.  The sea cucumber brings water in and out to move about. Geology changes by metamorphosis.  Junior Ranger program extended to adults!

Tim spotted the Hinckley Company Boat Works yard and marina.  The boats were coming into storage for the winter season.

The Quiet Side 

Downeast Acadia and Schoodic Woods, ME @ Acadia NP 9/13 – 9/17 Schoodic Peninsula

 Visitors Reception Center at Schoodic Woods: We extended our stay in Maine.  Relocated to the Schoodic Woods RV Camp.













 Hiking Trail.  This coastline has inspired poets and writers about the environment to think of the future to learn of the past.

Glaciers and volcanos have changed these rocks from the ice age.  More than one pine cones out make it a pine tree and the number of needles determines the type of pine.

Goldsborough town, Dysart's serves the real lobster families that live out here.
