Lake Placid, New York is the site of the 1932 and 1980 Olympics, as well as the annual Lake Placid IRONMAN Triathion.  
 







The Olympic Torch, stored away for another time.





This peaceful Adirondack town is best known for the 
"Miracle on Ice".  
Men's ice hockey tournament played between the hosting U.S. and the defending gold medalists, the Soviet Union - 1980.

There are 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks and bobsledding at the Olympic Complex.



Olympic Ski Jump Complex remains in use for Olympic Training

This green space is located in the same area as Lake Placid High School.  It was built outdoors as a skating rink for the Winter Olympics in 1932.

Lake Placid Horse Shows arena is a masterpiece where competition action is daily from ponies ridden by tomorrow's champions 

 to members of the U.S. Equestrian Team atop some of the world's best horses.




October 2017: We love this most beautiful place in the Adirondacks! 
It is time to return to New York to see the family at the farm
